I'm Chantelle, the artist behind all the pieces you see on the website and social media pages of "Chantelle - An Artist's Experience". I am a married mother of two who enjoys exploring a variety of artistic outlets. I hope to be able to share my art experiences with you, far and wide, for years to come. Love, C.

Stained Glass

- My grandfather taught me to do stained glass work before he passed away. My glasswork is what propelled my love of the arts and aided my decision to pursue the sale of my pieces. I have been making stained glass artwork for approximately 6 years.

Latch Hooking

- I learned to make latch hook rugs from my mother. She used to make them as a child and it is one of the only crafty or artistic hobbies that she enjoyed enough to pass along. I have made a variety of latch hook rugs since including my favourite; a large white tiger piece.

Cross Stitching

- I have been cross stitching for close to 20 years. Once my mother taught me to latch hook, fiber arts really became a staple in my life. They have been a creative outlet ever since.

Embroidery/Blackwork

- I am newer to embroidery and blackwork than I am to cross stitch but, sticking with fiber arts, they have long been an avenue for creativity in my life.

Crochet

- I am a beginner crocheter but, at the time of writing in Feb 2024, I am 4 months into my journey and capable of making blankets, clothing and a long list of trinket type pieces. I am very excited to continue pursuing crochet to explore some additional experiential ideas when it comes to crocheting. 

Wood Burning

- I am brand new to wood burning, at the time of writing this in Feb 2024. As I was making my 'hobby gift sets', I decided I wanted to try something new to add to the package. I had all the tools for wood burning and decided to give it a shot. I am still learning but loving it so far.

Bookmark Making

- I consider this to be an artform and not just a 'craft' as my bookmarks are all very different and require a different set of artistic abilities. From my pressed flowers bookmarks to my journal piece-work bookmarks, each has a unique touch and area of expertise.
