 Is there lead in stained glass and is it safe?

• The short answer is yes. There is lead involved in the creation of your piece (unless otherwise specified) but it isn't dangerous for incidental touching, only when ingested. I recommend that you wash your hands after handling as a precaution and keep the piece away from children. As long as you're not licking your artwork, you'll be fine!

What are these marks on my piece?

•  The glass used is different in every piece created. The glass may have small imperfections such as bubbles, lines or nicks. These imperfections are a result of the manufacturing process of the glass and cannot be avoided.

Do you accept custom orders/commissions?

•  I do but usually only a limited amount. The commission spots fill up fast and the waitlist can be over a year long as I only take around 2-4 commissions a month and do not work on stained glass as my primary income. Please send me an e-mail or a message on any of my social media pages to discuss what you're looking for. You can also check out the 'bio' on my Instagram page to see if my commissions are closed for any given year.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

•  I do not accept returns or exchanges at this time. All sales are final.

How can I hang my piece?

• I do not recommend that you use suction cups for hanging. You may see some listing pictures with suction cups but they are just for photography purposes as I can repair any damage that may be caused if the suction cup fails. I would suggest using small nails in the window frame for suncatchers and larger screw in eye hooks in the window frame for larger, heavier pieces. If you'd like your piece to hang lower in your window, you can always use fishing line as an invisible way to adjust the height. Please make sure you check the fishing line regularly as they can become brittle when exposed to sunlight.

What is this white stuff on my piece?

• Lead (which is in the solder holding your piece together and sometimes used on the borders of a piece) naturally corrodes over time. You may start to see some white buildup along the lines of your artwork. This is easily removable with the green side of a kitchen sponge (that you don't plan on using anymore) or with an old toothbrush.

How can I clean my piece?

• I would recommend only a light dusting of your piece. This can be done with a microfiber cloth or soft cloth of any kind. Please make sure you aren't using any abrasive materials (such as steel wool) on your piece as it may scratch the glass or ruin the finish. If you believe your piece needs a deeper clean, use distilled water sparingly to clean the piece with dawn dish soap and then polish it with carnauba car wax to bring the shiny finish back to life.

How long will it take to get my piece?

• Please allow 2-3 business days for your piece to be shipped. Once it is in the hands of the post office, it'll depend on which shipping option you've chosen.
• If we've discussed a custom piece of artwork, I will give you a time frame specific to your piece.

Do you offer local pickup?

• I do offer local pickup. It should be an option when you checkout with your purchase. Please note that at this time local picks will be porch-pickup, no contact type situations.

What happens if my piece breaks during shipping?

• I try my best to package everything securely but shipping glass is always risky. If your piece arrives broken, please contact me within 3 days of receiving the piece with pictures of the damage and the packaging. We can work together to fix it :)
